Please read this first!

This was made using a custom generator. I didn't feel like spending too much time on a website, but didn't want to be even lazier and use a drag and drop one like the teacher said.

- The Current State of the Internet and how it is becoming worse -

One thing I've noticed before I was even old enough to use social media was how dominant they are nowadays. Somehow, in the amount of time since I've become old enough to use them and the current day things have advanced even further. We are at the point where large companies all but control the entire internet. Advertising has become more and more common, and a lot of companies are trying to get into that. It's been like this for a while, but after things like Net Neutrality it's only gotten worse.

I do have some hope for the internet though. It seems like Facebook (or I guess it's Meta now) is falling extremely quickly. Twitter, while I like using it for some game news or deals, was always a toxic platform. It's been on the decline for years, but now that Mr.Musk has bough it there has been a lot of users leaving due to some very stupid decisions on his end. I hope that, eventually, we move to open-source, non-proprietary platforms that actually care about the users and not money.
